Gibbston Valley Station will incorporate sustainable design solutions and energy conservation as a key part of its planning and development.

Buildings throughout the resort community will use
solar heating, energy-efficient materials and appliances, and other alternative energy sources.

Water for
Gibbston Valley Station will be sourced from the high mountains, running to the property through several snow-fed streams.

Residents will enjoy crystal clear water from the
Station’s natural sources. Drought-tolerant planting
within the landscape and use of recycled water will
also reduce irrigation demand.

An extensive revegetation programme, encompassing more than 70ha/173ac will see the regeneration of significant native plants, and provide a protected habitat for local species of gecko and skink. The ruins of historic gold-mining developments – found throughout the station – will also be protected.
